Terex Titan - the largest truck in the world
Canadian truck built by Terex Corporation (GM). It has a mass of 235 tons, 550 tons maximum. Equipped with a 16-cylinder engine of 169, 5 liters capacity of 3,300 horsepower (2, 460 kW), paired with a generator. The generator delivers electrical power to the traction motor of four, located at each of the rear wheels. It has a length of 66 feet (20 meters) and a height of 22, six feet (6 to 9 meters). 56 feet (17 meters 1) - height with an elongated dump box. Built back in 1974, GM's London, Ontario Plant, he tested 12 months in California. In 1978 it was completely assembled in the company Sparwood BC for Kaiser Resources Ltd. He ceased to be used in coal mines in 1990 and is now located in Sparwood.
