Smart lighting saves 70% electricity

Philips Lighting has installed "smart" integrated lighting system at the new warehouse of spare parts company "Mercedes-Benz RUS".

In the framework of the project in the premises of the pallet storage area and docks were installed a modern integrated lighting system with wireless control. Thanks to the built-in sensor lights themselves are dimmable, depending on external conditions, which allows to save up to 70% of electricity.

Integrated lighting systems Philips Lighting on the basis of energy-efficient led lamps GreenUp Highbay controlled by the built-in wireless control system. Thanks to in-built light sensors, they automatically reduce the brightness when there is sufficient sunlight and open out to the maximum level in the evening and at night and in bad weather conditions. Motion sensors allow you to adjust the illumination depending on the occupants of people. Integrated solutions communicate using a wireless signal and, unlike traditional methods of warehouse lighting can be programmed to perform any light task, even if the space changes its purpose.

Despite the fact that in a warm warehouse for lighting we spend over 50% of electricity consumption, the light continues to be given minimal attention at the stage of large-scale industrial construction. The company "Mercedes-Benz RUS" is always assigned a special role to preserve and improve the health of employees, and we are pleased to be able to offer an innovative solution that will not only make more comfortable the lives of hundreds of people working in the logistics center, but also will contribute to the sustainable development of its business, – says Marina Tyschenko, VP and CEO of Philips Lighting in Russia, CIS and Central Asia.published
