Swans can fall in love with catamarans





Swans are known for their incredible loyalty. These monogamous birds usually do not just form a union with his partner for life but, as a rule, never looking to replace his partner after his death.





In summer 2006, people could once again make sure that the "Swan fidelity" - these are not empty words. Peter, the female black swan living in the reservoir Aasee in Muenster, Germany, in spring 2006 ... fell in love with a big white catamaran. Catamaran was in the form of a swan, and probably that's why so much interested in Peter. For three years, Peter followed him everywhere.





Catamaran was leased to a local school for yachting. And Peter always swam after him, when he was taken for rent. Moreover, the animal sometimes show aggression towards people approaching Empty catamaran. According to zoologists, it confirms the attachment of Petra to a large swan-catamaran.





Roman lasted three years - in 2009, Peter flew.
