"Dead River" carries corpses from North Korea to South





The seventh largest river in North Korea Imjin, flows north to south, crosses the demilitarized zone and flows into the Han River near Seoul. It is on this river most of the fighting took place during the Korean War.

Many South Koreans called Imjin River of the Dead, because it brings the water from North Korea to South dead bodies. The last time this happened in 1990, when North Korea's famine ravaged much of the population died.
