The sword of victory
Magnitogorsk monument "Rear - Front" was the first large-scale monument erected in honor of the Soviet Union in the rear exploit workers. He is the final sculpture of the great triptych (three monuments common theme), which also includes the famous Volgograd "Motherland Calls!" And "soldiers-liberators" of Berlin's Treptow Park. Analogues of this triptych, of course, is no more.
The reasons for which it Magnitogorsk honored to become the first Russian city where put majestic monument home front workers, do not cause surprise. According to the statistics - every third shell and every second tank was made from Magnitogorsk steel. Hence the symbolism of the monument - a factory worker, standing in the East, sends forged sword soldier-soldier who is sent to the West.
Later, "the sword" picks up on the Mamaev Kurgan "Motherland", which actually saw a turning point in the war.
"Warrior-Liberator" puts it on the swastika, completed the rout of Nazi Germany. Everything is beautiful, symbolic and logical.
