Installing sharklets on Airbus A-320 S7 Airlines.
Airline S7 Airlines, in collaboration with the Engineering Holding install the latest development of the Group Airbus - shurklets two of its aircraft. The case is unique - in Russia it is the only airline to retrofit aircraft sharkletami and Engineering Holding respectively only organization in Russia to perform the work of such a plan. Ending sharklets can improve the aerodynamics of the aircraft due to the increase in the effective extension of the wing and reduce induced drag created by breaking the end of a whirlwind swept wing. According to Airbus, they allow you to increase the range of about 185 km, payload - 450 kg and reduce fuel consumption by 4% / Each sharklet on 95% consists of a composite material and in spite of its impressive size (height of 2, 4 meters ) has a weight of only 40 kg.
Currently we have two aircraft Airbus A-320 S7 Airlines c serial numbers VP-BOJ and VP-BOG equipped with new winglets.

And now the plane flaunts new clothes. Full installation of new endings runs in just 12 hours of downtime of the aircraft on the ground. All work is done by specialists Holding Engineering, without the participation of specialists of Airbus.
