Pen computing new perspective
Researchers from Laboratory Watanabe Ishikawa (Japan) together with an independent company zSpace, specializing in the creation of interactive holographic displays, built a prototype system for gesture recognition, which with high speed and accuracy responds to movements of the hands and fingers of the user.
The speed of response of the system significantly improves the efficiency and comfort of work with three-dimensional objects. The user's hands are removed by two angled camera with a frequency of 500 frames / sec, and developed software interprets human gestures.
Also, the developers have added to its interface, a feature that may one day be introduced in the mass plates. In addition to the manipulation of 3D-objects by hand, you can simultaneously use the stylus, which controls the virtual camera, "remove" not available at the moment of the object. This feature allows you to use one device at the same time more than one person.
