If ever you are lucky enough to visit the magnificent New Zealand, do not miss the chance to visit one of the most unusual of its attractions - the so-called "farm Gibbs» (Gibbs Farm). This territory belongs to one of the wealthiest local businessmen, Alan Gibbs, who is a great connoisseur of modern art, he decided to create a kind of private park where giant sculptures.
Gibbs Farm is located on the territory of about 4 square kilometers, close to Auckland - the largest city of New Zealand. You can get there by appointment only, but those who are lucky to come out with a lot of positive impressions, because not everywhere in the world you can find these giant structures, but still with a clear philosophical meaning.
All of the sculptures that are found in the park, created by Alan Gibbs commissioned renowned modern masters - among them Neil Dawson, Leon Van Den Eijkel, Richard Thompson, Sol LeWitt and other leading sculptors. Each of art objects was assembled on site to maximize its harmonize with the surrounding landscape, and their sizes are so large that some of the figures can be seen even in the photographs from space.
Interestingly, all the sculptures are installed with a slight slope to the sea and sent to the western part of the park, where there is a picturesque bay Kaipara. During low tide the water goes a few kilometers from the coast and provides an opportunity to consider one of the better local compositions called "Arch».
Walking in this extraordinary park, its visitors often can not escape the feeling of some surreal events.
