The fact is that in the south of Jordan, near the border with Saudi Arabia under the sand there is a large reservoir of water. Its depth varies from 30 to 400 meters. It was here that was founded the farm «Rum Farm», a total area of approximately 2,000 hectares. The farm was founded in the distant 1986 and successfully operates till now. Here are grown eggplant, zucchini, cabbage, potatoes, corn, and even figs Pomegranate. According to recent data, fruits and vegetables are grown here, providing nearly 90% of the needs of the population.
