Yes, there are in Germany a real Russian village. It is called a colony Alexandrowka and is in the north of Potsdam.
History
In 1806, the Prussians were defeated Napoleon's troops and forced to unite with them in the war with Russia in 1812. More than 1,000 russkix soldiers were captured by the Prussians, 62 of them were in Potsdam, including Russian choir was formed in the service of the King of Prussia. But in 1813, Prussia became an ally of Russia in the war against the French. A Russian choir remained in Potsdam, moreover Tsar Alexander I allowed to replenish it with new singers from Russia. When in 1825 the Russian tsar died in the service of Frederick William III had 12 singers. In 1826, in memory of Alexander I, King of Prussia ordered the construction of a village for them Russian and name it in honor of the late emperor. The construction of the colony lasted about a year, and it was built 12 houses for singers, one house church elder, and one - for the superintendent of the colony. The upper floor of the house for the church warden was at the same time designed and personally to the king, and there has been arranged for him a great tea room. Each house has been arranged yard, a barn for cows bred garden, as well as wound up a full inventory, not excluding the kitchen utensils. Get full farm colonists pledged: keep everything under threat of withdrawal of the right to use; not to make any changes to the buildings, and even more not to sell, pledge or lease; in the case of death of the owner household goes to the eldest son, provided that he was not a Catholic.
The last of the original residents of the village died in 1861. Currently living in the village, only one direct descendant of one of the singers - Herr Grigoriev.
In 1999 Alexandrovka was included by UNESCO in the Fund «World Heritage».
