Winnie the Pooh (Winnie Pooh), certainly the most famous bear. Prototypes for its creation served just two bear. One of them was made by the English JKFarnell, and another German company «Steiff». Bear Alpha British firm JKFarnell, was bought by the wife of the writer Alan Alexander Milne in a birthday gift to their son Christopher Robin in 1921goda. Published v1924, the poem "When we were young," Alan Milne mentions a bear, but a bear that has no name. The book was illustrated famous artist Ernest Shephard. Model for all pictures in the book were the toys of Christopher with one exception. The prototype of a drawing of Winnie the Pooh teddy bear began, but Christopher Robin, and son's Ernest Shephard. All the sketches were made in black and white. When in the seventies Shephard offered to make drawings in color, it already was 90 years old. However, he managed to complete the job. Today, the original sketches are stored in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the main figures in the New York Public Library. Milne's book translated into twenty languages, and is impossible to imagine children's literature without these characters.
