Ice Age in Ulan-Ude

Early Tuesday morning in Ulan-Ude was an emergency. When filling the rink in the main square of the capital of Buryatia water broke through the ice wall fences and flooded nearby streets.

Ice town was destroyed, the opening of which was scheduled for December 15.



Were flooded street Soviet, Smolin, a segment of the carriageway on Ranzhurova.



In Ulan-Ude about 25 degrees below zero, the water immediately turned to ice. The movement of vehicles was transferred to bypass roads.



Streets cleared of ice formed over 70 people, and about a dozen pieces of equipment - trucks, loaders, graders.
