The first and only school in Russia divers was established May 5, 1882 by decree of Emperor Alexander III in Kronstadt was the first and only institution in the world, where trained specialists diving business. Training in schools accept persons of officers and enlisted men. During the first four years of its existence, the school has trained about 200 qualified divers from the lower ranks and 40 diving experts from the officer corps.
