Fires in Texas and Oklahoma (21 photos)
Wildfires raging in the territory of Texas and Oklahoma, destroyed dozens of homes and forced hundreds of people to evacuate, and although official statements about the causes of fire has not yet been, summer heat and drought in both states have created more than enough fuel for fires.
According to the press secretary of the Texas Forest Service Sedzhinor April, "now in drought conditions, fire can break due to a spark".
The Texas Forest Service has warned that the weather can interfere with actions aimed at curbing the fast-spreading fires in the north of the state, which on Tuesday killed at least 20 houses in the village by the lake. Fires threaten at least another 125 homes near Possum Kingdom Lake, that 75 miles west of Fort Worth.
