A new series of Girard-Perregaux


New limited edition timepieces Swiss brand Girard-Perregaux decided to dedicate the famous English clockmaker John Harrison. The inventor became famous in the early XIX century, created the clock, allowing to determine the location of the ship at sea with unprecedented precision of the era. In fact, his know-how had a son, William, went to a sea voyage from the English Portsmouth to Port Royal, Jamaica. The route of his voyage on the displayed map enamel on the dial Girard-Perregaux ww.tc Enamel John Harrison. The image on the plate is made of white gold, on which the master engraver hand struck the contours of the oceans and continents. Then the master of Girard-Perregaux painted "map" of the enamel.
