In Egypt, discovered 14 statues of the goddess Sekhmet War


The Egyptian city of Luxor, German scientists have found just 14 statues of the goddess Sekhmet war, Interfax reported with reference to the words of the Minister of Antiquities of Egypt.
 
According to experts, found two-meter statue refer to the 1372-1410 biennium. Don. e., the era of Amenhotep III, and Sekhmet depicted as a woman with the head of a lioness sitting on the throne.

What exactly prompted Pharaoh to build these statues, scientists do not yet know. It is assumed that he was deeply honored Sekhmet, but, according to other scholars, Amenhotep III was ill and believed that only divine power can cure it.
