Alex John Beck. The perception of beauty
British photographer Alex John Beck explores the principles of human perception of beauty. Among the collections of his photo appeared a curious collection of symmetrical faces. The images are shown for comparison, face left and right have perfect proportions and according to the canons of physical assessment - beautiful. But if we perceive them as they should? And then where beauty? In the eye of the beholder? In general, depending on how you look!
The photographer said that portraits the right and left side of the face. Originally taken for the collection of people's faces (by strict rules) could not be called beautiful: not those proportions. But after joining something dock. Photographer trying to figure out where is the cause.
It has long been known that one side of his face reflects our true emotional essence of the (left), and the right shows us what we want to look. Of course, half the left side is always beautiful. Check it out!
However, there is another study that says that you will not hide yourself, and left halves of the face will look more unpleasant than the right, because the more difficult to exploring the inner and the outer mask is easier.
Whatever it was, the project interesting.
