Flying "Swan"
Antares rocket with a private space truck Cygnus («Swan") was successfully launched from the spaceport at Wallops Island in the United States. This is the second flight of "Swan" to the International Space Station.

US planned move to the use of their space ships and the abandonment of Russian "Soyuz". Until recently they could only deliver astronauts and the necessary equipment to the ISS Americans. Emphasis is placed on private companies.
Space Truck "Swan", created by a private company Orbital Sciences, first flew to the ISS in September 2013. Its design allows to deliver cargo into orbit from 2 to 2, 7 tons. This flight "Swan" to the ISS is the second.

Space Cygnus truck will be docked to the ISS on January 12 on Sunday. It takes on board the International Space Station 1.27 tons of cargo - research equipment, food and clothing for the crew, tools for working in space, and computer accessories.
Also, "The Swan" carries on the ISS 33 small satellites, to be launched in 2014 with the help of the Japanese robotic arm.
