Miuccia Prada

Miuccia Prada, the head of the fashion house Prada, presented on display sketches of several outfits that she created for the film adaptation of the legendary works of F. Scott Fitzgerald, directed by Baz Luhrmann. Total for the film, which premieres scheduled for May of this year, Miuccia developed sketches 40 evening and cocktail dresses, four of which a few days ago appeared on the network. Design outfits Miuccia created together with costume designer Catherine Martin, who is also the wife of Baz Luhrmann:

Bases and Miuccia always been similar views on how you can submit a classic in modern guise. This mystical bond between them was the basis of our cooperation with regard to film and joined our vision with her costumes.
On the creation of costumes inspired by Miuccia Prada is not only images of the main characters of "The Great Gatsby", but also his own creations, which she created in the last 20 years for Prada and Miu Miu. Thus, under the hand of Italian designer luxury came along with a rich finish sequins, crystals, fringe and fur, which have been so relevant in the 20s of the last century.










Let me remind you that this is not the first collaboration with Baz Luhrmann Prada - in 1996, Miuccia worked on the creation of costumes for the modernized adaptation of "Romeo and Juliet", where, as in "The Great Gatsby", was also busy Leonardo DiCaprio.
