At home, in Sydney Leila grew up in proximity to the wild and from childhood in every possible way to help those who needed help. Jeffries says: They are magnificent creatures that enrich our lives. And we have a responsibility to keep their house - the wild. Birds are very similar to us - they build relationships, educate the younger generation, defend their territory, playing and singing.

Today she presents her collection of portraits of parrots called «Cockatoo».
Regardless of the type, Jeffries cleverly focuses on the unique personalities that differ both appearance and the way they behave in front of the camera. While some people become brave and excited, others turn into a modest and shy.

The close proximity of the birds in the frame allows viewers to look into the eyes of these magnificent creatures, and to consider each individual. Closeups Leila Jeffries chose also to we, the people could look at the birds on their own kind.
