Giant sunspots
Two giant sunspots were discovered tools Observatory SDO. Observations were made on February 19-20. Spots in less than 48 hours have reached large sizes, one of which is 6 times higher than the diameter of the Earth. Sunspots are dark areas on the sun. Their temperature is lower than the surrounding areas of the photosphere 1500 kelvins. Spots arise from perturbations of individual portions of the magnetic field of the sun.
