This beach is located in the south-eastern part of the Big Island of Hawaii. Its main feature is the color of sand and nature of occurrence of such an anomaly. In fact, before you even sand, basalt and fine crumb.

The beach is a conservation area and is considered the resting place of sea green turtle, which is also called a soup. The water off the coast of the beach is very cold. By mixing salt and fresh ocean water from nearby springs, the latter is pushed into the upper layers. And even if you're a walrus, swimming in Punaluu Beach is not too comfortable due to the nature of the local sand. It is formed of basalt chips and cooled volcanic lava.
