The island of Montserrat - modern Pompey

Montserrat is an island of volcanic origin, and is considered one of the UK Overseas Territories. After a volcanic eruption in 1995, the island had left approximately 2/3 of the population of the island.

One-third of the remaining population of the island moved to its southern part.









According to experts, the island for at least another decade will be unsuitable for normal life.
