Drawings body
Remember the famous aphorism that dance - this verse, in which each movement is a word. It turns out dance can be not only a poem, but a pattern. Artist Heather Hansen (Heather Hansen) from New Orleans managed to combine these two types of art in the pilot project «Emptied Gestures» («Abandoned gestures"). In this performance the body acts as a brush: every movement Heather Hansen freezes pattern on a white background.
Heather Hansen's body was coated dark paint, which is "imprinted" on the two-dimensional surface. Thus, dance literally froze, and every movement was like a dancer smear artist. The whole process of creating unusual images recorded photographer Bryan Tarnowski (Bryan Tarnowski). In the pictures you can see how a step ha step to move the girl.
Heather Hansen herself admits that her performance caused a storm of emotions. She tried to find a way to convey the dynamic movements and gestures in frozen form drawing. Judging by the result, we can safely say that it succeeded.
