Beautiful plates for the homeless
Artists Christopher Hope and Kenji Nakayama launched a project aimed at helping the homeless residents of Boston. The idea is this: the beggars give $ 10 and offered to replace them with cardboard signs on bright and beautiful.
The project also has a site on which photos are laid out with the new, hand-painted plates, as well as short interviews with the homeless. Artists calculated by its activities to draw public attention to the problems of vagrants. In addition, the authors of the idea believe that the new eye-catching sign can bring more revenue to its owner. However, critics have pointed out that the project may have the opposite effect. After all the good signs may create the impression that people are not so much in need of help.
