Images of the heart

The heart has long been a symbol of love, devotion and sensuality, and even modern medical technology can transform the body into something special. These stunning images of the heart were made in the British Heart Foundation and participated in the contest images from science.




Using medical devices such as MRI and microscopes, medical experts were able to take pictures of the heart in a whole new light, highlighting its complex structure and many unsolved tayn.Pobeditelyami competition were Dr. Gillian Gray and Harris Morrison at the University of Edinburgh.
