Space lessons

Lab researcher Wang Yaping had an unusual school lesson in physics. Classes are held with the spacecraft "Shenzhou-10", who is currently on an orbital module "Tiangong-1", and broadcast to Earth.

Immediate audience astronauts were about 330 students in primary and middle classes, who gathered in the auditorium of high school at the People's University of China, but broadcast was carried out in almost all schools of China.

In class, will last 40 minutes, the astronauts conducted five basic physics experiments, in which they talked about the characteristics of object motion in zero gravity, surface tension, helped to learn the concepts of weight and mass, as well as to explain the laws of Newton. These experiments were weight measurement, the movement of the pendulum, a gyroscopic movement, the demonstration of the film properties of water and water bowl. They also answered questions of students who did not specify in advance.

Chinese woman did not pioneer the "cosmic pedagogy." First teacher leading lessons from orbit was to be an American Christa McAuliffe, who died in 1986 in the crash of the space shuttle Challenger. In 2007, a lesson from space conducted by Barbara Morgan.
