According to the biblical accounts, on this day Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, and the inhabitants of the city joyfully welcomed him as their savior and new king, taking palm branches in their hands, they exclaimed: “Hosanna to the Son of David!” Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
