Goethe finished his Faust at 80, we write ourselves off too early

It's often written on the Internet, How important it is to live in the moment, here and now. Unfortunately, not everyone has the motivation to do so. But why? Someone complains about a difficult fate, someone talks about poor health and lack of strength for this. And someone is corny lazy, because each of us knows what it is to postpone everything for later and start a new life on Monday.

The only question is: what happens if you always postpone and wait for better times? I guess you can't wait for them. Today's edition. "Site" I want to talk about this topic!

The writing of this article was inspired by a post recently published on Facebook. We invite you to familiarize yourself with its content. And then we will share our views on this.

Roman Senator Mark Cato learned Greek at age 80. Socrates only at the age of 70 learned to play many musical instruments and managed to master this art to perfection. Michelangelo created his most significant paintings at the age of 80. At 80, Goethe finished work on Faust.

German historian Leopold Ranke finished his World History at 91. Isaac Newton was still busy at the age of 85. Leo Tolstoy at the age of 82 was controlled on a field with a scythe so that young scythes could not keep up with him. The gray-bearded author of War and Peace in these venerable summers skated, rode a bicycle, rode a horse and squatted with a pistol (on one leg) more than 40 times!

American composer and conductor Igor Stravinsky worked until the age of 88. The poet Beranger worked until he was 77. Leo Tolstoy to 82, Victor Hugo to 83. Academician Ivan Pavlov worked up to 87 years, the ancient Greek playwright Sophocles - up to 90 years.

By the way, not so long ago, American scientists together with their European colleagues published a sensational discovery. It turns out that the human brain does not develop until 25-30 years, as previously thought, but until 50 years. Moreover, if a person continues to engage in active mental activity, then brain aging practically does not occur!

What's all this about? Only one thing: there is no disease called “old age”, there are only incorrect psychological attitudes! The biggest barriers and obstacles in our lives are within us. Break them!

Our soul, our inner powers, have no age. As long as we are alive, we still have a chance to rise higher, to take at least one more height on the path of our spiritual ascent. Don’t wait for better times, there can only be one best time. It's called now!

Here and now I am convinced that Human capabilities know no limits.. You can learn something new and interesting throughout your life, there would be a desire. I'm not going to talk about opportunities, because in this age of technology, there's been nothing about them for a long time. You can easily find the right information on the Internet, open any training video and learn.

As people age, they stop doing this, as they all have families and other concerns. But do not forget that the harder you train your brain, the better it will work in old age.

Someone will say that in adulthood there are a lot of sores and there is absolutely no strength. And I'll tell you that you have to think about it young. If all people led a healthy lifestyle, followed their diet, engaged in at least some physical activity and worked with their mental health, unhappy old age would be many times less.

I wonder what you think about that? Boldly share your thoughts in the comments!
