SemAZ buses will go to Mongolia

This was announced by inbusiness.kz CEO of SemAZ LLP Asemkan Duskuzhanov.
About 500 buses, we think, should be sent to Mongolia. All the requirements of the party, the potential buyer, our products meet. Exports will be for two years, he said.
Recall that last year the East Kazakhstan enterprise received the award of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Altyn Sapa", taking the first place in the nomination "Best enterprise for production purposes". The high award was a confirmation of the quality of the products produced by the domestic company, says
“Victory in a competition of this level, of course, had a positive impact on our work. It became an incentive for further development, affected the volume of production. And this is the merit of the entire staff of the plant, Asemkan Duskuzhanov emphasized.
New lines
This year, the domestic enterprise produced about 1,500 light-duty trucks with a carrying capacity of 1.5 to 5 tons, as well as 550 tractors, 400 buses, 400 heavy-duty vehicles, lifting from 15 to 25 tons.
In the future, the assembly plant plans to increase the production of heavy-duty vehicles and buses to 1,200 units, small trucks and tractors to 3,000. Increase the number of jobs from 500 to 1,000.
In addition, the plant is preparing to launch new lines for the assembly of special equipment. Two more workshops will be built for this. The total area of additional buildings will be about 10 thousand square meters.
The project is currently under development.
Products, says Asemkan Duskuzhanov, are mainly purchased by utilities, agricultural formation of regions. Today, the companies of Atyrau, Aktau, Petropavlovsk, Turkestan and other regions of Kazakhstan, as well as Russia, Mongolia, are interested, the general director notes.
According to Asemkan Duskuzhanov, despite fierce competition, the volume of production this year compared to the previous year increased by about 50%.
“We have increased the production of gazelles this year. For tractors, the volume of production this year is slightly lower, this is due to the fact that they are imported from the outside. Mostly, they are imported from Belarus. The market is big, the competition. It is necessary to protect the local market from imports. At the state level, measures are being taken in this direction. The regional akimat strongly supports domestic producers. For example, public transport is updated by buses of Kazakhstani assembly, he said.
If at the very beginning, the SemAZ assembly plant planned to assemble only buses of Korean brands, today the production of 8 models of tractors and several types of trucks has already been established. Implementation of the Belarus tractor assembly project began in 2009. And the project for the production of trucks - in 2011.
Over the 12 years of the company’s existence, more than 8,000 tractors, thousands of buses and trucks have been assembled.
