Long buses on biogas Bashny.Net

In Bergen (Norway) will receive the first bus-hybrid, running on biogas. A second bus-accordion come October 31.



The length of the bus is 24 metres, 6 metres longer than traditional buses-accordions. Therefore, this model is the longest in Norway. To use the bus in the city centre received a special permit. The new buses will deliver students in the newly opened College in Kronstadt. Tickets in the bus will not be sold, stops a little, the route is quite direct, and tickets can be purchased at vending machines at bus stops.

The buses are very eco-friendly, they are produced in Belgium. Wheels are electric, biogas and energy released when braking and require more energy than conventional buses.





New buses-accordions will be put on line in November, while drivers undergo additional training. The difference of this model is that the driver will sit in a separate section, like the subway, and passengers will have to pre-purchase a ticket.
