Alley bottle caps in Texas

In the city College station in Texas is a unique attraction — the Alley of bottle caps. As the name implies, the track is paved with hundreds of thousands — and by some estimates millions — caps from under the beer bottles and bottles of soda.

No one knows exactly how the tradition began paving alleys, but since it is located between the iconic pub Dry Bean and a restaurant, the Dixie Chicken, the locals believe that institutions threw her covers. Later they were joined by other local bars. It is assumed that this tradition goes back four decades.

Alley bottle caps was officially named attraction in the early 2000-ies, when the local authorities have declared it a place of interest to tourists.
