The new Hyundai Grandeur has become a hybrid

Hyundai presented at the motor show in Seoul a hybrid modification of the Grandeur sedan of the new generation. From the usual versions of the model, the novelty differs in exterior design and interior design. For example, instead of the usual plastic inserts in the finish, cork oak bark is used.

The hybrid power plant includes a 2.4-liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 159 horsepower, a 51-horsepower electric motor, a six-speed automatic transmission and a set of batteries with a capacity of 1.76 kilowatt-hours. Compared to the previous generation model, battery capacity increased by 23 percent, and the return of the electric motor increased by nine percent.

Fuel consumption of the hybrid sedan is 6.2 liters per hundred kilometers. The car is almost eight percent more economical than its predecessor. The coefficient of aerodynamic drag reaches 0.27. This figure slightly decreased due to wheels with a special pattern.

In South Korea, Hyundai expects to sell about 10,000 Grandeur hybrids a year. The cost of the model varies from 36 to 40 million won (from 32 to 36 thousand US dollars). published

P.S. And remember, just changing our consumption – together we change the world!
