Smart trash can will help to inculcate correct habits of conscious consumption
French startup has developed Uzer trash Eugene, which will tell the owner what waste can be recycled and which are not. A bucket will gather statistics about discarded trash, will help to make a shopping list or order something that is over.
It looks like a normal trash bin with pedal for lifting the lid. However, the device has a barcode scanner, and inside is two compartments: one for recyclable waste and non recyclable. When the user needs to throw another box, he just brings it to the scanner and receives the response in which part of the bucket it should be placed. If it's cardboard, tin or aluminum cans, a bucket of reports that can be recycled, in the case of plastic will report back.
With the ever-increasing number of various boxes, packages and films device promises to greatly simplify the lives of people who are not indifferent to ecology.

Of course, like almost any kettle or frying pan in 2016, the bucket is connected to the device and has access to the Internet. It has an app on the smartphone, which adds additional functionality. For example, using the app bucket keeps track of what you throw away and offer to add it to the product list for the next trip to the store. Also it can automatically add the discarded packaging online orders, helping to maintain a constant supply of food. In addition, the app keeps statistics on your manner of consumption and disposal, counting kilos of waste of different types. While a clever bucket cannot be purchased — it's a prototype. To go in the series it should not earlier than 2017. The creators call price of $299 for the largest instance, but this is preliminary price.
France shows the worst performance for separate waste collection among Western European countries. Less than a quarter of all household waste in this country is recycled. With the help of Eugene the startup plans to instill in their citizens the right habits. Earlier, in an attempt to improve the environmental situation, France had banned the production and sale of plastic utensils. published
