To the XX century almost all the garbage was organic waste and decompose rapidly so that the waste disposal problem and even can not be called. But nowadays, the average citizen of the world produces about 340 kilograms of non-biodegradable waste per year. And the fee for the disposal of inorganic waste — tens of thousands of gallons of toxic dioxins and furans year.

Half-burnt debris are plastic bottles, packaging film and plastic bags. But there are other millions of tons of plastic bottles and packages that don't think to recycle, and decomposition in natural conditions, they are almost impossible.

Rubbish in Naples (Italy) is enemy number 1 for more than 15 years. In 2008 garbage crisis almost completely paralyzed the city, which led to political and social unrest. It's called "junk of the civil war." Save the villagers from the debris had not only utilities, but also the military.







Analysts predict that the next victim of the crisis of pollution will be China. Every day in Beijing emitted more than 20 thousand tons of waste. Businesses engaged in the processing and disposal of garbage – only deal with 10 thousand tons. So after a decade, Beijing might return to the condition of the 80-ies, when the capital was surrounded by mountains of garbage, like walls.





Kiev — not far behind the leaders in the production of waste. That's just for processing us gets less than 5%. Everything else is transported for disposal at a garbage field in Kiev region. Every day exported more than 5 thousand tons of garbage.
