1. John Lennon's toilet
An extraordinary offer that will be able to appreciate the most advanced fans of the singer. Among the items that were put up for auction at the Liverpool Institute of Arts is a toilet previously in the toilet of the Berkshire home in which Lennon lived from 1969 to 1972. When John decided to make repairs, he allowed the plumbing master to keep the porcelain toilet and use it, for example, as a tub for wood or flowers. John Hancock (the plumber’s name) kept this “gift” in his garage, and after his death, the toilet went to auction. The organizers hope to get for it up to a thousand pounds.
2. Scissor hands
At Christie's auction, in total, gloves were sold, which had the appearance of scissors, belonging to a movie hero named "Edward - Scissors Hands." Probably there are fans of this work and this kind of character, as for this pair of unknown metal structures with details of rubber, leather and latex, it was received 16,000 dollars, which is 3 times more than expected to get their manufacturer, Stan Vinson.
3. Meteorite collection
At first glance, these are just strange cobblestones, but for connoisseurs of astronomy and geology, this is an incredible treasure. Meteorite hunter Rob Eliott decided to sell part of the amazing collection (170 of more than a thousand meteorites) at auction, and raised for them 1.4 million dollars. Rob himself was very happy with this amount, and wished the new owner to experience the same incredible excitement that Rob has received for 17 years, during which he is engaged in the search for heavenly stones.
4.A ghost.
In September 2010, Martin Fazette auctioned off a ghost. The winner had to get with the spirit his house, that is, a glass sealed jar. According to Martin, his great-grandmother, who died of Onko’s disease, became a ghost. He wanted to donate the money he received from the auction to a cancer fund. In comments to the lot, Martin added that you do not need to let the spirit go for too long, 20 minutes should be enough. The ghost didn't have a name, but as the salesman said, the soul doesn't mind being called Casper. On the sixth day, the auction was closed by the administration for violating rules prohibiting the sale of intangible, unverifiable things – ghosts, souls, etc. That's how the ghost stayed with Martin.
