Karlu Karlu - the mysterious stones of Australia Bashny.Net

       








In the Northern part of Australia is the national reserve devils Marbles. For many kilometers along the road is scattered with huge granite rocks, reaching sizes of buildings. These boulders are glowing to red during sunset and sunrise is a particularly good time for the contemplation of a beauty so unusual formations.





According to the theory, these boulders – the result of geological activity that took place 1.7 billion years ago. They were formed by water, wind, high temperatures and sunlight, which influences egg-shaped boulders split apart. Today Devils-Marbles knocked out of the flat landscape of these places, grouped according to the several located on each other or lying one. The local aborigines call them "Karlu Karlu". They believe that the boulders and the place where they lie is sacred.
