The web page for a million dollars
21-year-old student from the UK, Alex TEW became a millionaire thanks to a website that consisted of only one page.In order to pay for College Alex wrote the website milliondollarhomepage.com. The entire page of the website had the size of 1000*1000 pixels and was divided into squares of 10 by 10 pixels. The idea was to sell all the space on the squares. The cost of one pixel was 1 dollar and one square, so it was worth $ 100. Purchased pixels for buyer to use at their discretion, but it is more logical to place there advertising.
The first four square was purchased by the guy's family for $ 400 to support it. But Alex did not stop and began to send the link to your site to all my friends and relatives with an offer to buy the place. Followed by a chain reaction from acquaintances to friends, but a lot of it has not brought results. The key point of this story was that the press became interested in this idea. Guy was invited to various TV shows. He interviewed the most popular Newspapers of England (such as The Wall Street Journal). The popularity of the site has gained unprecedented momentum and not only in Britain but also the United States.
After these events two weeks TEW had sold 40 000 pixels. January 1, 2006 the last thousand pixels were auctioned eBay, which brought 38 the guy $ 100. In the end, as reported by TEW on his blog, he earned 1 037 $ 100. To date, all the pixels have already been sold, apparently, forever. Many who have tried to create a similar Internet projects by selling the pixels on their websites, but none of them got even close to the popularity milliondollarhomepage.com
