The smallest label in the world
Graham Short (Graham Short) from the UK made the miniature the inscription in the world on the edge of a razor blade. The inscription "Nothing is impossible" ("nothing is impossible") has a length of only a tenth of a millimetre and it is possible to consider only after 500-fold microscope.
In order to do this wonderful work, Graham spent about 8 months, during which time he destroyed nearly 200 blades — one awkward movement and the whole work is gone. So Graham took advantage of some tricks. For example, he worked only at night, when the vibration from traffic is insignificant. He also tied his hand to the chair with a belt in order to prevent sharp movements. In addition, he used a stethoscope to listen to your heart and do the finishing touches in between his blows. In normal condition his pulse dropped to 20 beats per minute — a daily 15-kilometer workouts in the pool were not in vain.
Now the blade was put up for auction with an initial price of about $75 thousand.
