Rosemary can affect Your memory

In the experiment, which was conducted by scientists from the University of Northumbria in Newcastle, was attended by 70 volunteers. Participants were divided into two groups, the first group entered a room that smelled of rosemary, and the second in room without smell.

Participants had to complete questionnaires in which experts would be able to determine the functionality of their memory. After the volunteers held in their rooms a little time, they were again asked to fill in similar questionnaires.

The experiment showed that people who were in the room, which was filled with the aroma of rosemary, the memory was 65-80% higher than those who were in a regular room. Scientists were able to explain that the scent of rosemary increases the concentration of the compounds 1,8-cineole in the blood that acts on a biochemical system, improving memory.
