Underground Lviv, the secrets of the past

The largest number of Lviv underground tunnels and structures built in the NINETEENTH century. After the revolution of 1848, the Austrian authorities turned the Turkish trenches in a strong Citadel, whose FORTS on the hill that dominates the town, was able to keep under fire the whole Central part. In this mountain the Austrians have done a lot of underground utilities, there is a backup command post of the Austrian military commandant of the city.
