At the Braverd Zoo in Melbourne, Florida, the meerkat family had a new offspring that was born about a month ago. The parents of the babies, whose number is still unknown, were a female named Kiki (Kiki) and a male Jasper (Jasper).
All this time, the cubs were in a hole underground and only on April 14, the rangers were able to see the first, the most courageous of them. A small meerkat literally ran out of hiding for a minute and immediately disappeared into it again.
As the caretakers themselves say, it was from this day that the behavior of the cubs became more active. “We suspected that Kiki was pregnant because her uniforms were somewhat rounded,” one park employee said. And when this first tiny baby came out a few weeks later, it was immediately clear to us.
How many cubs in the litter of Kiki and Jasper we do not know, as they have not yet come out of the hole, but only look out of it in turn. And when they do all come out, we will definitely conduct the first medical examination to establish their gender and make the necessary vaccinations.

Thanks to this protection, meerkats can stay under the scorching Kalahari sun for a long time.
Interestingly, during the first few weeks of their lives, while their mother is out looking for food to have milk to feed them, babysitters are looked after by special nannies, which can change from time to time. As the young grow up, their upbringing is engaged in the so-called “teachers”, who teach teenagers various survival skills.
