A new study has found that even small amounts of alcohol make other people more attractive.
Researchers from the University of Bristol conducted laboratory experiments to assess how much people's perceptions of alcohol and placebo consumption changed. Participants were asked to look at pictures of men, women and landscapes before and after drinking alcohol. The volunteers were divided into two groups - one group drank only an alcoholic drink, the other group was less fortunate - they were offered a non-alcoholic placebo drink. The volunteers were then shown 20 photos of men, women and landscapes. It turned out that the rating of attractiveness of all types of images was higher for those who took some alcohol, compared with the group of sober people. Now the researchers decided to continue the experiments in the real-life setting of several pubs in Bristol, to fully confirm their version.
