The harbinger of flagship BMW

Last year, at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy, the Bavarians presented the concept coupe BMW Gran Lusso, created in conjunction with the design studio Pininfarina. The Vision Future Luxury is now in Beijing. Despite the outward resemblance to last year’s two-door, it is demonstrated by the chief designer of the BMW brand Karim Habib, talking about the novelty as his own development.
BMW says the Vision Future Luxury concept demonstrates the future development of its premium models. Unfortunately, there is no information about the size of the show car, so it is difficult to judge what kind of car in front of us. The first concept sedan BMW seventh series of the new generation? Or the flagship ninth series, the appearance of which has long been talked about? The latter should become a competitor to the future Maybach. But if the new “seven” promises to show in the fall of 2015, the appearance of the ninth series is a more distant prospect.
In any case, the production model is still far away, and therefore there is no information about the technical stuffing of the BMW Vision Future Luxury concept. In addition to demonstrating the future stylistic development, Bavarians chose the show car to show the latest developments. In front of the driver there are three displays, which displays all the necessary information about the road. In addition to the dashboard, there is also a projection display BMW Vision. In general, there are many screens: another pair is installed in the backs of the front seats. Laser headlights will not surprise anyone, similar ones are installed on the BMW i8 hybrid. But the lights from organic LEDs on serial cars are still a curiosity.
