The mystical beauty of the black roses of Halfeti
Turkish Halfeti roses are incredibly rare. In form they do not differ from regular roses, but their color is very unusual for roses, and in General for flowers – they are so black as to appear artificially painted.
They seem perfect for movies about witches, black magic or anything like that. However, it is difficult not to admit that these roses have a mysterious beauty and appeal.
While these flowers seem to be completely black, in fact their color – very dark crimson. They grow only in summer and only in one tiny Turkish village of Halfeti.
This place features a unique soil condition – an unusual shade of colors is obtained through the pH in the groundwater. In the spring the roses bloom dark red, and the fly becomes completely black.
Local residents believe their black roses symbols of mystery, hope, passion, and also death and bad news. Unfortunately black roses are an endangered species, as inhabitants of the village, from which grow, gradually move to other places.
