A piercing project by photographer Gustavo Germano

Photographer Gustavo Germano dedicated his work to the people who disappeared in Argentina and Brazil during the military dictatorship. He recreated images from 25 families' albums, and after a long time, they were photographed in the same places. It catches the eye that each image has become orphaned - the pictures sometimes lack a whole family.

More than 30,000 people have gone missing in the country in seven years.

We present a photo project that demonstrates how ruthlessly and irreversibly time changes everything around.
