This battery absorbs near-infrared and ultraviolet wavelengths and passes the visible spectrum. A transparent panel stores energy in cells located at the edges. This method of capturing light energy is also not very effective. They have 1% efficiency. Scientists intend to bring the efficiency to 5%.
