British researchers claim to have created a vaccine that will help people who are allergic to cats.
According to the developers of the revolutionary means, it acts on the animal itself, not on people. The drug attacks a protein in cat's saliva or urine, which is the main cause of cat allergies. It attaches to the animal and is distributed throughout the room.
Scientists believe that the new HypoCat will be able to neutralize the protein without harming a pet. Now the Swiss firm HypoPet, based at the University of Zurich, trying to make HypoCat available for commercial use within three or four years.
