Electric cars for the masses are becoming a reality

Man tamed electricity not so long ago, not even two hundred years have passed. However, until recently, electricity was only used to power low-power devices, and was not considered a key or particularly important thing for the movement of cars. Electricity plays an important role in the automotive industry.

If ten years ago, no one seriously could not imagine that electric cars will be the same in power and energy consumption as gasoline cars, now this is not a fantasy, but a harsh reality. Now many companies, both large corporations and small start-up firms, create electric vehicles of increased power, which can travel over three hundred kilometers on a single charge. Yes, while such cars running on electricity are expensive, and you can charge such a car for a long time.

But technology is moving forward, and the Western world’s need for electric cars is extremely high. Not only does the U.S. government help companies that make electric cars, which are not very many, but it also helps firms that produce innovative technologies for use in electric vehicles. Thus, we can say for sure that the future of the automotive industry lies in electricity, and many large corporations, realizing this simple truth, are already investing billions of dollars in the development of electric vehicles.

In the United States, the leading developers of electric cars are Tesla and GM, in the European Union it is BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Thus, there is a quite unusual situation when the market is already ready for the emergence of electric vehicles, they are thirsty and ordinary drivers, and corporations that are trying to get out of the protracted crisis in the automotive market. But on the other hand, technology does not yet make it possible to reduce the cost of production and maintenance of electric vehicles.
