In Montenegro will increase the share of alternative energy sources

By 2030, the share of renewable energy sources will increase to 10%. This was announced by the representative of the Ministry of Economy Miodrag Chanovich at the GFEI Fuel Economy Accelerator Symposium in Paris.

Montenegro’s energy development strategy until 2030 envisages the use of biofuels for transport in the amount of 285 gigawatt hours in 2020 and 252 GW in 2030.

Among the priorities of the country’s leadership is to reduce emissions into the atmosphere. That is why the focus will be on clean fuels, vehicles, roads and eco-driving.

In Montenegro, there are many laws regulating this area, however, the government is currently preparing a new law on energy, which will be adopted before the end of the year.
